In The Lady of Shalott, Abigail Tulis interweaves Tennyson’s poem about the lady who, at the cost of her own life, bravely defied her fate out of love for Prince Lancelot with her own quest for femininity and fertility, and for harmony with nature. The result is a series of 13 monumental works, which will be exhibited during the 10th Biennial of Painting at mudel in Deinze (28 June–18 October 2026).
